The immigration lobby keeps repeating that immigration is very positive, arguing that it enriches our lives and has significant economic benefits. However, those who have experienced the real world know this is untrue. Immigration increases demand for public services, which can result in a shortage of school places and hospital beds. This, in turn, results in longer waiting lists in hospitals and GP practices and more expenditure to cater for more individuals who require more services.
The Institute of Fiscal Studies (IFS) has evaluated the government budget and concluded that mass immigration will increase the size of the state. Due to the population increase, the IFS claims that the government will require more money to cater to the needs of the newcomers.
The IFS think tank concentrates on analysing public finances and maintains a neutral stance on immigration. Nevertheless, a recent study conducted by the IFS confirmed the negative financial impact of mass immigration, which the British Democrats have been pointing out for years.
According to the report, the economy’s size will increase due to higher expected net migration, leading to new long-term population projections. However, this will make existing spending plans even more challenging in per-capita terms. The report also suggests that an injection of £25 billion is needed to prevent a reduction in per-capita spending.
As a result of a large influx of immigrants, public services are facing immense pressure, and the government will need to allocate an additional £25 billion annually to meet the increased demand. Failure to increase taxes may lead to reductions in spending in other areas.
The way to save taxpayers money is by stopping immigration altogether. Unfortunately, none of the three major parties seem willing to do this. So, the only way to stop this immigration and save our country is by supporting, joining and campaigning for the British Democrats.
