Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you contact us, subscribe to our newsletter or emails, join or donate, we may collect the details you provide which could include name, address, email address and telephone number. We process credit card and bank details that you supply to collect payments via a third party and do not see or hold any credit card details. We do use other third-party companies to process personal information on our behalf, including, data storage service providers, Donorbox, MailChimp and Stripe. Our website hosting service provider is WordPress. We also have social media networks integrated via widgets on our website.
We primarily use your personal information to contact you either personally or through newsletters or emails. In each case you have an option to opt out of such communications. If you donate more than £500 to the party, the Electoral Commission require us to keep a separate record of this donation and also to check the relevant electoral register. If you donate larger amounts than £1500, we have to directly inform the Electoral Commission. If you donate more than £7,500 to our party during any calendar year, we are obliged under PPERA to report such a donation to the Electoral Commission, who will publish the fact that you have made a donation over £7,500. We operate on a regional structure and supply personal data to our Regional Organisers who in turn will pass this onto the branch officers in their region. Your data is only shared with party officers in the relevant area. We rely on your consent to process your data. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We store personal information for the periods needed for the purposes for which the information was collected or for which it is to be further processed. And sometimes we’ll keep it for longer if we need to by law. Otherwise, we delete it.
As long as you are an active member, we will keep your data. As long as you are subscribed to our newsletters and emails, we will keep your data.

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service.
