Christopher Bateman is the British Democrats parliamentary candidate for the Basildon and Billericay constituency. As part of our strategy for future growth and the County Council elections in 2025, Christopher has been selected as the candidate to contest this seat on July 4th. He is a popular Parish Councillor within the constituency, having first been elected for the British Democrats onto Noak Bridge council in 2022 with a whopping 74% of the vote.
Mr Bateman recently ran as a candidate for the Borough Council election in Castledon and Crouch ward, Basildon. He received a solid and very credible 475 votes.

I’m sick and tired of the continuous broken promises from the Lib/Lab/Con parties. It’s lie after lie, especially when it comes down to building on our green open spaces and dealing with uncontrolled mass immigration!
The British Democrats have worked tirelessly in this area and have become a beacon of hope for the constituency I hope to serve. I owe it to the residents and the good people in the Basildon area to stand for election as their MP. We are the only patriotic party that will put residents first!
Putting people before politics should have been the standard for all parties. However, the career politicians of Westminster need to be held accountable for their failings. The British Democrats will always prioritise the British people!
