On Sunday, February 2nd, the British Democrats met in Basildon, Essex. Members in attendance were inspired by an afternoon of speeches from some of our key officials. Our elected local Councillor, Chris Bateman (pictured above), chaired the meeting.

The first speaker of the afternoon was Party Chairman Dr. Jim Lewthwaite, who delivered another engaging speech based on his experience with the establishment’s cover-up of the ‘rape gang‘ issue while he served as a Councillor in Bradford, Yorkshire.

During the break, the members enjoyed a buffet with tea and coffee. The raffle was then drawn.

The second half of the meeting started with Party Secretary Michael Jones announcing that a new candidate had stepped forward to stand in the County Council elections in Hertfordshire, scheduled for May. Michael explained that, due to the postponement of County Council elections in our key areas of Essex and Kent, the Party would be campaigning in other regions of the country.

The next presentation was given by Paul Elliot, who discussed several different current affairs, including:

1) Farage and Reform UK

2) Starmer

3) Notting Hill Carnival

4) Starmer and the Chagos Islands

5) Cabinet Ministers’ comments about Trump

6) Local Government Re-organisation and Scrapping of the County Council Elections

7) Thurrock Council

8) Home Office’s Attempt to expand the recording of Non-Hate Crime Incidents (NHCIs)

Cllr Bateman then spoke about the history of Basildon and proposed building developments on green spaces, including flood plains in the area. Chris said he was collecting signatures for a petition against a specific development.

Deputy Chairman Stephen Smith next spoke, stating that the Party would produce new hard-copy newsletters as part of its literature.

Before concluding the meeting, Cllr Bateman proudly announced that a substantial amount of money had been raised, a testament to our progress and the commitment of our loyal members.

The unity and camaraderie among members of the British Democrats is unmatched. We are a party of nationalists who collaborate effectively for our cause as we continue to build on our successes.

The British Democrats would like to thank all the excellent speakers, our splendid officials and members for attending this meeting and donating. Every penny raised is used for essential campaign materials, and your contributions are invaluable to our cause.
