We are thrilled to share that Ian Seeby will represent us as the candidate for the Flamstead End and Turnford Division in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, during the upcoming County Council Elections on May 1st.
Ian is a seasoned campaigner and a committed British Nationalist. He shared his thoughts with our website: “Many brave soldiers sacrificed their lives to defend our nation from invasion—yet career politicians are now giving it away! I’m fed up with the endless stream of broken promises from the Lib-Lab-Con parties, particularly concerning the overdevelopment of our green spaces and the ongoing immigration crisis. We have been misled for the past 80 years, and it’s time they faced accountability. The British Democrats will always prioritise the needs of the British people!
Labour claimed they would take action against people-smuggling gangs, but they never committed to stopping the boats or deporting illegal immigrants because that was never their true intention. Their hollow promises didn’t fool anyone.
I’m not a career politician; I’m dedicated to putting local people first every single time!”
Key local issues Ian is campaigning on are:
- Scrap DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)
- Residents must come first, not wasteful and unnecessary County Council vanity projects.
The Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) Diversity and Equality section on their website highlights initiatives to boost the representation of individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and those with disabilities. It’s worth noting that the term ‘BAME’ has fallen out of favour; the more contemporary phrase is ‘Global Majority.’
Being ‘woke’ includes the notion of positive or affirmative discrimination. However, what one individual sees as positive discrimination may be viewed as negative discrimination by someone else.
Employment should be based on MERIT rather than DIVERSITY. The primary role of County Councils is to provide essential services to residents. Unfortunately, HCC has a diversity agenda that does not benefit the organisation or its residents.
Greenbelt Land
I will actively work to halt overdevelopment and safeguard our beautiful countryside. We must preserve our cherished greenbelt and farmland for future generations!
The Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner is determined to build 1.5 million new homes. The push to develop these homes on greenbelt land stems primarily from mass immigration, which has had a profoundly negative impact on our country. Rayner appears indifferent to the preservation of greenbelt areas and our farmland. It’s essential that we protect our agricultural land for farming, which includes raising livestock and growing crops, as this is vital for our food security. Farmers, not Rayner, are the true guardians of our farmland.
Potholes and Highways
I will strongly advocate for the County Council to fix our crumbling roads. In particular, the surface at the junction of Hammond Close and Hammondstreet Road in Flamstead End is in desperate need of resurfacing.
Hertfordshire County Council needs to prioritise the repair of these neglected roads. The damage to the road surfaces has built up over several years, suggesting that front-line services are being neglected.
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC)
The combined annual salaries for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and her five executive team members amount to a staggering £1,030,893. The CEO receives a yearly salary of £244,000, while the earnings of the other five executives vary between £146,285 and £173,928.
The salaries in question are astonishing, exceeding even that of the Prime Minister. As you face rising Council Tax rates, take a moment to consider whether you’re getting your money’s worth from Hertfordshire County Council.
Asylum Seekers & Asylum Seeker Hotels
Flamstead End and Turnford currently houses an asylum seeker hotel, previously known as the Marriott Hotel. This facility should be closed and restored to its original purpose as a public hotel.

HCC offers various services and courses for asylum seekers, including sports coaching qualifications and other educational pathways. As of September 2024, HCC had over 1,000 refugees registered for these courses, which require substantial administrative resources to manage. These resources should be directed towards addressing the needs of HCC Council taxpayers.
