The very word ‘smuggler’ conjures up visions of days gone by and men armed with flintlock pistols and cudgels surreptitiously bringing ashore barrels of French brandy or silks on a moonless night to be hidden in caves in some quiet Cornish cove away from the eyes of the revenue men!
During the American Prohibition era, smugglers of alcohol did a brisk business. Those who facilitate the illegal transportation of people across the Mexico-United States border are commonly known as coyotes.
Other woke words to describe smugglers are bootleggers, moonshiners, couriers, bandits, and pirates. All these words are meant to portray smugglers as fun-loving renegades.
Both Labour and the Conservatives employ the term ‘smuggler’ as a strategy to mislead the British public into thinking that halting the influx of illegal migrants is a difficult task due to their clandestine smuggling into the UK.
Meaning of smuggling: the act or process of taking things or people to or from a place secretly and often illegally.
The current situation is anything but secret! The invaders are not being smuggled in quietly—it’s happening in broad daylight right in front of us! The French authorities, the UK’s Border Force, and the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) are facilitating this illegal trafficking of people. How long will it be before Calais-Dover ferries are used to transport thousands of individuals across the English Channel?
Smuggling people is distinctly different from smuggling goods like alcohol or drugs. It’s more fitting to label ‘people smugglers’ as ‘human traffickers’ who frequently employ coercion or false promises to exploit their victims to repay a ‘smuggling’ debt through unpaid labour or sexual exploitation.
The invasion is occurring primarily because the Conservative Party and Labour do not have the resolve to stop it. The Conservatives are clueless, while Labour leader Keir Starmer—whom I refer to as ‘Two-Tier Kier’—is reluctant to lose the Muslim vote. This reluctance poses a challenge for Labour, especially as more Muslims are likely to run as Independents, capturing votes from their community by appealing to their interests—this is something indigenous Britons could learn from.
In response, Labour will likely feel pressured to nominate more Muslim candidates, which could further alienate traditional White British Labour voters. Ultimately, Labour faces a loss either way. Two-Tier Kier doesn’t grasp the political dynamics at play here.
The invasion can be stopped, but it requires a government with the strength and determination to take action. Housing the current invaders in tents before their deportation is necessary, as they are not genuine asylum seekers, having passed through safe countries to reach Britain. The Royal Navy should patrol the English Channel to prevent further incursions. We must withdraw immediately from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Furthermore, it’s essential to clarify the misconceptions surrounding ‘smugglers.’
The British Democrats are committed to exposing the misleading tactics of both Labour and Conservative parties when it comes to addressing the issue of ‘people smuggling.’ We will shine a light on their failures and hold them accountable for their actions.
