Another story demonstrates the madness of the asylum system in the UK and the need to leave the ECHR and the 1951 Refugee Convention as soon as possible.

It’s almost unbelievable, but a few days ago, it was reported that an asylum seeker returned to Afghanistan for an eight-week summer holiday soon after getting asylum because he would be ‘in danger’ in Afghanistan.

In 2022, Mr Usama travelled 5,000 miles through many safe countries, from Kabul to Britain, brazenly filming his arrival on a crowded boat full of other ‘asylum seekers,’ and sharing it with his social media followers.

A video shows Usama laughing at the camera, showing the red lifejacket a people smuggler had given him. He captioned it: ‘Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), I am now in the UK.‘ A second video followed soon after, showing his boat being rescued by an RNLI boat with techno music playing in the background.

Usama convinced naive UK officials that it was too dangerous for him to return to Afghanistan, which raises two questions:

  1. What specific criteria did the gullible officials use to grant Usama asylum?
  2. What evidence did Usama provide to support his claim of danger in Afghanistan?

The criteria used seemed to rely solely on the asylum seeker’s words, and Usama lacked credible evidence to support his claim of being in danger in Afghanistan.

After obtaining asylum and visiting famous places like Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, and the White Cliffs of Dover, he decided to take a two-month trip back to his Taliban-controlled homeland.

He shared a video of his trip, featuring visits to Afghanistan’s Band-e Amir National Park, which is renowned for its remarkable beauty. He shared all this on social media, as well as his return flight to the UK to flaunt his ‘holiday’.

His social media accounts feature videos of him in several European countries, including France, Switzerland and Bulgaria. These videos reveal that he travelled through at least three safe countries before he arrived in the UK.

According to government guidelines, asylum seekers are prohibited from returning to their country of origin.

Unfortunately, stories like this are only too familiar. The British Democrats will put a stop to this madness.
