If you thought that choosing your own gender was a plot from some sci-fi horror story, then you would be mistaken!
The European Union was initially established as a trading bloc, but it will soon perish because of political correctness.
Under new proposals, European countries could eliminate therapy requirements for children considering gender transition and remove age limits on gender recognition. The proposals are laid out in the European Commission’s new ‘LGBTIQ+ equality strategy 2026-2030’ document.
EU member states that challenge gender ideology may face penalties. Those regions considered ‘discriminatory’ are potentially facing funding cuts for failing to adhere to specific ‘values.’
The document declares it will ‘support the development of legal gender recognition procedures based on self-determination that are free from age restrictions.’ Talking therapy for children who are suffering from gender issues could also be banned.
Although no longer a member of the European Union, the British government could completely adhere to the EU’s approach on this issue.
Any opposition to the government’s plans will probably be dismissed by referencing the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
The European Commission’s proposals make frequent references to the ECHR.
Its document goes on to state: ‘Requirements for legal gender recognition vary significantly across Member States. Several Member States have adopted self-determination models, others impose medical procedures [such as a GP’s approval] for gender changes, which the European Court of Human Rights [ECHR] has found may infringe human rights.’
The European Commission’s terrifying proposals, which national governments have not yet ratified, criticise countries, including Britain, that require a doctor’s approval before individuals can identify as the opposite sex. This EU-wide strategy pushes legal gender self-identification for children of any age and a ban on psychotherapy for vulnerable children.
Many children cannot even decide what shoes or clothes to wear, so the idea that they can decide their gender is sheer lunacy.
It’s simple. If biological males seek to express a new identity by dressing, acting, and seeking to be treated as a female by their friends and family, then that is their choice. However, biological realities must be acknowledged, and it is essential to understand that biological men are not biological women..
Consequently, it is essential to honour and respect spaces and events (such as changing rooms, toilets, athletics and sports) reserved exclusively for biological women by staying out of them.
