On Sunday, November 30th, the Maidstone branch in Kent convened for its latest meeting. The session was highly productive and especially encouraging as we extended a warm welcome to new members attending their first British Democrats event.
The meeting, chaired by local Councillor Lawrence Rustem, opened with well-received addresses. Both Councillor Rustem and Deputy Chairman, Stephen Smith delivered excellent speeches during the first half. Party Secretary Michael Jones (pictured above) also made a brief contribution.

The break provided members with refreshments, including a buffet and hot beverages, alongside a raffle draw and a fundraising collection.
The second half of the meeting was headlined by a speech from David Furness, a former London Mayoral candidate and current British Democrats NEC member, followed by an impromptu and well-received talk from Cliff Le May.

Councillor Lawrence Rustem concluded the session by announcing that the meeting had successfully generated a substantial sum of money for the party. He then offered his thanks to the members for their attendance support.
