The absurdity of the British immigration system now reached a new level that if wasn’t real could come straight from Monty Python’s comedy sketch.
In that regard, MSM revealed that a migrant who was jailed over a cannabis farm worth half a million pounds has been granted permission to stay in the UK after successfully arguing he could not be deported as he no longer spoke his native language.
Clirim Kukaj, 30, (pictured above) is ethnically Albanian but was born and brought up in Serbia until, at the age of 13, he entered Britain illegally. Seven years later he was granted indefinite leave to remain.
Kukaj and his lawyers have now successfully appealed his deportation because returning him to his native country would be a breach of his human rights. Because he cannot speak the language and can only converse in Albanian, immigration tribunal judge Fiona Lindsley granted the appeal on ‘human rights grounds’.
Kukaj arrived in the UK ‘clandestinely’ in April 2007. His asylum claim was refused but he was later granted discretionary leave to remain until June 5 2010. On April 8 2014, he was granted indefinite leave to remain.
Six years later, however, Kukaj was convicted at Cambridge Crown Court over charges to do with the production of cannabis. He was slapped with an 18-month prison sentence.
A police raid that took place in June 2020 found 580 cannabis plants worth almost £500,000 at a home in Hardwick, Cambridgeshire. So, a criminal who shouldn’t be in this country in the first place can now stay because he claims he forgot his native language This is madness!
Unfortunately, neither the three main parties nor Reform UK is willing to stop this by ditching the 1951 UN Convention on Refugees and the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). This leaves only the British Democrats as the political party willing to do it.
