On Sunday, September 28th, our officials from Kent held the inaugural meeting of the newly established Medway branch. The event saw participation from several local residents who came together for their first political meeting.
Local organiser Steven Porter chaired the meeting and provided a brief overview of the political landscape in the local authority. He also discussed the content of several Freedom of Information requests he has submitted to the Council.
The audience was treated to excellent speeches from Matt Godden and Party Chairman, Dr Jim Lewthwaite, during the first half of the meeting.

During the break, attendees enjoyed a buffet and drinks.
The second half of the meeting featured a diverse range of speakers. Party Secretary Michael Jones, British Army veteran and longtime Nationalist Keith Sharp, and Councillor Lawrence Rustem all gave speeches on a wide range of topics.

Audience members actively participated by asking a variety of questions throughout the afternoon. To conclude the meeting, Dr Jim Lewthwaite engaged in an open Q&A session, promoting an environment of openness and clear communication within the party.

Party Secretary Michael Jones then announced that the meeting had successfully raised a significant amount of funds for the British Democrats.

Videos from the event will be posted in the week ahead.
