Held on Saturday, October 25th, this year’s Annual Conference was a tremendous success. We hosted the event at a superb hotel conference suite in Hertfordshire.

Stephen Smith, the Deputy Chairman, officially opened the conference. He extended a warm welcome to all attendees, many of whom had travelled significant distances from various regions and counties, including:

Northern Ireland

Wales

Yorkshire

South West

London

Kent

Essex

Hertfordshire

Suffolk

Norfolk

Northamptonshire

Leicestershire

Hampshire

Buckinghamshire

Shropshire

Members not only benefited from a series of informative speeches, but also enjoyed a fantastic opportunity for networking and socialising.

Key highlights from the speeches included:

Councillor Lawrence Rustem

Lawrence explained how the British Democrats have sensible, patriotic policies and that the Reform party is not the ‘knight in shining armour’ as often portrayed by GB News. He noted that Reform lacks any solution on the net 750,000 immigrants who arrive each year. Lawrence quoted David Bull, the Chairman of Reform UK, who recently stated, “Immigration is the lifeblood of this country.”

Lawrence added that our online presence is growing and that the British Democrats’ Facebook has currently over 90,000 followers and that number is growing every day!

Professor John Kersey

John said that the Labour Party has abandoned the British working class, negatively affecting their culture, jobs, housing, and education. He also criticised the European Court of Human Rights and the 1951 Refugee Convention for prioritising international over national interests. He believes Britain should stay out of foreign conflicts and focus on securing its borders.

Professor Kersey emphasised the importance of freedom of speech in Britain and the need for women to feel safe walking down the street. He noted the differences between men and women. He suggested that we should stop paying £10 billion in Universal Credit to foreigners living in Britain.

Following his presentation, Professor Kersey dedicated time to answering questions from the enthusiastic audience.

Matt Godden

Matt noted that post-war Britain was cohesive, highlighted by the establishment of the NHS on 5th July 1948 and low crime rates. However, he questioned what had gone wrong, attributing the moral decline to mass immigration and ethnic fragmentation.

Matt used the collapse of Yugoslavia as a case study for ethnic conflict.

Matt noticed a change in public attitudes toward immigration, with people more openly expressing their opinions due to the negative impacts they’ve seen in their communities.

We then paused for a break to enjoy lunch, which featured a buffet prepared by the hotel’s catering team.

Julian Leppert

He warned everyone first. The man who sounded the alarm over five years ago about the situation at the Bell Hotel in Epping, Julian Leppert explained the full story.

Hadush Kebatu was staying at the Bell Hotel, and within 8 days of arriving there, he started attacking local children.

Hadush Kebatu was convicted of the following offences:

  1. Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child
  2. Incite or Causing a Child to Engage in Sexual Activity
  3. Sexual Assault on a Female (aged 14)
  4. Harassment without Violence
  5. Sexual Assault on a Female

The Judge noted Kebatu’s lack of remorse and issued a 12-month sentence, despite the seriousness of his crimes. He was ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years and faced deportation. However, Kebatu was released rather than sent to an immigration centre, which hugely embarrassed the Prison Service and the Government.

Antoine Pitton

Antoine Pitton of the National Rally (Rassemblement National) noted that many in France admire the UK for leaving the EU. He mentioned Marine Le Pen’s proposal for a referendum on France’s potential EU exit, as well as her opposition to EU membership for Turkey and Ukraine. Le Pen also criticised multiculturalism and immigration.

Marine Le Pen has criticised the French Government for its ‘passivity and inactivity’ on illegal immigration. Like in Britain, those speaking out against mass immigration in France have faced vilification, but awareness of its negative impacts is growing. Rassemblement National maintained its political momentum in 2024, winning 160 seats in the French National Assembly to become the largest single party.

Antoine informed the audience of the current mess the French political system is in under Emanuel Macron.

Stephen Smith

The Deputy Chairman of the British Democrats, Stephen, announced that the Party is establishing an election strategy, starting with Town and Parish Councillors, then District and Borough Councillors, and progressing to further levels.

He emphasised the urgent need for leadership to avoid national destruction, stating that the British Democrats embrace a nationalist ideology, while woke politicians show disdain for their own culture.

Stephen noted that Housing Benefit, at £30 billion, is the fourth-largest item of government expenditure. This is a significant concern, so urgent attention must be directed towards the housing market and homelessness.

All laws obstructing national protection, including the ECHR, should be abolished, as should other barriers to national survival.

Stephen Smith

Dr. Jim Lewthwaite

Dr. Jim Lewthwaite, Chairman of the British Democrats, noted that Finland faced a scandal years ago involving grooming gangs, where Arab refugees were charged with the rape and sexual assault of young girls. The mainstream media and politicians, influenced by multiculturalism, attempted to hide the situation.

Jim argued that scientific evidence shows assimilation is ineffective since genetics cannot be changed. He described the British Democrats as ethnonationalists pursuing an electoral route.

Jim observed a seismic shift in Britain as people realised the country was being colonised.

Jim stated that we are not inciting racial trouble; instead, we aim to prevent it.

Michael Jones

Michael Jones, Party Secretary, updated us on our campaigns and activities. He then shared two pieces of fantastic news:

1. The party raised a record amount of money at this meeting.

2. The party also received the largest single donation in its history earlier that day.

Michael Jones

Party Chairman Dr. Jim Lewthwaite concluded the conference by taking questions from the audience.

True to form, the welcoming spirit of the British Democrats immediately transitioned to lively socialising at the bar and restaurant afterwards. We’re thrilled by the extremely positive feedback and the high morale of all attendees!
