Ken Perrin is the British Democrats spokesman on Environment Food and Rural Affairs. Ken, (pictured above) a relentless campaigner, has been busy over the last few weeks organising in the local village of Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.

Ken’s petition opposing a controversial application to build 70 properties in Chatteris is rapidly gaining signatures.

He has provided our website team with the following statement in addition to doing an interview with Cambridge Live:

“I make it clear that democracy is the ‘will of the people’ and that is sadly ignored among arrogant and out-of-touch local councillors and Fenland District council. Unchallenged, they are running roughshod over democracy and I aim to change that by putting the democracy that is the ‘will of the people’ back into their hands.

I started the campaign simply because of the principle that when the electorate votes, that vote counts. However, it does not happen here. I believe that Councillors are the mouthpiece and conduit for the electors – that their word is final. I live in a market town where councillors and local government are attempting to turn it into a small city with unwarranted massive housing developments that are not needed or wanted.

Time after time, promises made to improve infrastructure have never materialised; in fact, it has dramatically worsened. I aim to stand in forthcoming elections for the British Democrats. I will demand that we get the improved infrastructure but with only property developments that are needed to meet the organic growth of the indigenous population of Chatteris.”

“TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE CHANGE!”

As our readers will know, there isn’t a housing crisis in this country; there’s an immigration crisis causing a housing shortage!
