The families of military servicemen are being asked to leave their homes to make room for asylum seekers. It’s widely known that British soldiers are living in substandard accommodations, while immigrants who are not supposed to be in the UK are staying in luxury hotels at the expense of taxpayers. This situation speaks volumes about how our government is neglecting native Britons.

The latest example of this double standard was recently revealed when it was reported that families of serving soldiers must vacate their homes within eight weeks to accommodate asylum seekers.

Twenty-four households have been instructed to vacate homes rented from the MoD at Henlow Camp, Bedfordshire, next to a former RAF base. Simultaneously, fifteen Afghan refugee families relocated to properties in the same village.

Former soldier Adam Brunetti, his wife Michelle, and their two children were initially told to leave their three-bedroom house within two months. However, they have now been informed that they can stay. Mr Brunetti expressed relief but also mentioned feeling guilty because other families with children and pets are still being told to leave. Most of the properties in Henlow Camp are owned by a private developer but are leased by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (part of the MoD), which then rents them to tenants.

The Ministry of Defence spokesperson stated that tenants rent their homes short-term and have signed contracts specifying that they can be removed with two months’ notice. Additionally, he clarified that properties leased to families under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy are temporary and not connected to the site’s disposal.

The preferential treatment given to Afghans while the families of British soldiers are suffering speaks volumes about the betrayal by our political elite.

This betrayal is unacceptable. The British Democrats are the political party willing to prioritise the interests of native Britons. I urge you to support and join us!
