We are thrilled to announce that we have gained another councillor; this time, it’s in the picturesque region of Cornwall.
British Democrat candidate Peter Lawrence has been elected unopposed for Mylor Council in the beautiful county of Cornwall. Peter was one of eleven candidates nominated and elected to fill thirteen seats available in the Parish of Mylor Bridge.
This is exciting news as it marks the British Democrats’ first electoral victory in the South West region, and another step towards our goal of representing the British people at all levels of government.
Peter has lived and worked in the parish for 20 years and says,
“I am delighted to now have the opportunity to serve this community as a parish council member. I’m committed to making our local area a great place to live and work. I will do all I can to protect its cultural history and outstanding natural beauty for future generations.”
Party Secretary Michael Jones told our website team, “We’re building a party capable of representing the British people at the local government level and, in the future, at the regional and national levels. Now is the time to get politically active with a sensible and realistic patriotic nationalist party—The British Democrats! We invite you to join us and be a part of this journey!”
