The 2026 local election campaign has been a resounding success, fuelled by incredible momentum and a determined spirit for the British Democrats, where our unwavering hard work has truly come into play.
When many local elections were suddenly reinstated after being cancelled by the Labour government, our members swiftly swung into action.
One of our key objectives is to ensure that genuine Nationalism remains a vibrant, thriving force. We achieve this by blending active electoral politics with, community-focused action that truly makes a difference. A perfect example of this strategy is Basildon, where our British Democrats Parish Councillor, Chris Bateman, works hard as a volunteer for his constituents and reliably provides them with a Nationalist option on the ballot paper at local elections.
Reaching New Areas in 2026
So far, 2026 has been a year of positive activity for the party. We’ve expanded our reach into brand-new territories, proudly standing candidates for the first time in areas like Wakefield, Norwich, and Aldershot. This expansion is a testament to our growing appeal and the hard work of our organisers.
Heart-Led Community Action
Our teams have been busy where it matters most: in the heart of our neighbourhoods. From organising local clean-ups and litter picking to actively participating in community meetings, our members have proven once again that they are the most hardworking and committed Nationalists in the country.
We are thrilled to report that our party now stands on a more solid foundation. This position of strength ensures our long-term stability and future growth.
Our members and candidates have truly gone above and beyond, putting in the “hard graft” on the streets with smiles on their faces. We salute every one of you for your sterling efforts!
As an example of staying power, we must pay tribute to everyone who has been involved with the campaigns around the country,. The unstoppable spirit has been a true inspiration, with activity being rolled out in a daily basis.
Sinking Roots, Building Futures
Our work doesn’t stop when the polls close. We are already continuing our community-based advocacy for local constituents. For example, we have an upcoming action day planned in Basildon, Essex, to assist a resident who reached out to us during the campaign.
By “sinking roots” into our communities, we are building the lasting foundations that previous movements missed. We are here for the long haul.
Looking Ahead
The future looks brighter than ever! We are currently building a brand-new website and will be launching it soon, alongside a newly developed range of party policies to be published in the coming weeks.
Rest assured, the British Democrats remain the most active, genuine Nationalist party in the UK. We are already preparing for our next string of campaigns, so stay tuned for updates!
