On Sunday 18th June, the British Democrats held a meeting in central Kent.
Members and supporters in attendance had an enjoyable afternoon hearing speeches from a number of staunch Nationalists.
Chairing the meeting was Councillor Lawrence Rustem. In addition to chairing the proceedings, Lawrence also delivered a powerful speech attacking the Conservative Party. “The Conservatives conserve nothing”, was the theme of his talk.

The next speaker was Stephen Smith. Stephen has been involved in British Nationalism since he was 15 years of age. He spoke on several subjects that included; the post-war decline of Britain; the need for Nationalism; how the British Democrats have risen out of the demise of previous Nationalist parties. Stephen rallied the audience by saying, “We will win, we’re still here”! Another solid campaigner that we are fortunate to have within our party.

Lawrence then introduced Julian Leppert as the next speaker. Julian scored the highest British Nationalist vote in the country at the recent local council elections, with a very credible 25% in Epping Forest District. This was a solid performance considering it was the first time the British Democrats had campaigned in the area. Julian spoke about various election campaigns he had fought over the years, and ideas for the future.

There was then a short break where tea, coffee and a buffet was served. Meetings always provide a good opportunity for like-minded Patriots to chat and discuss the political issues and current affairs.
After the break, veteran Nationalist Tess Culnane gave one of her usual passionate speeches, which touched on local issues and her involvement with the local community.

Michael Jones was the final speaker for the day. He gave a update on developments within the party and how a strong infrastructure is being built by the National Executive Council. Michael also announced forthcoming activities and events the party has planned for the coming months.

And to round up a very productive afternoon, Lawrence Rustem announced a nice healthy sum of money had been raised for party funds from the collection and raffle.
Thanks to all those who attended and for the kind donations. Videos of this meeting will be published on our website within the next few days.

It was an absolute pleasure and an honour being at the inaugural meeting in Maidstone of the British Democrats. Yes, there is a long way to go to make the necessary impact in both Maidstone and of course nationally for the British Democrats. However, a genuine patriotic choice now exists for the British people to look towards as a beacon of hope in these very unpleasant times which this country now faces. A choice has been born and this nationalist party, the British Democrats, is that beacon, that choice. If you think that it is too late for this country, just stop and re-adjust your thoughts for it is only too late when you have given up. Nationalists don’t give up, unlike this conserve nothing party government. Nationalists don’t and won’t surrender, unlike this conserve nothing government. Nationalism, through the prism of the British Democrats is made of sturdier stuff than this vacuous conserving nothing party which holds power at present.
The British Democrats have an inner core, a set of ideals and principles which are stronger than granite.
Ideals and principles which are based on a sensible, intolerance of stupidity and bravado idiotic stunt politics. The nationalism of the British Democrats will not suffer fools gladly within our ranks for even a microsecond. For such an outlook as ours there cannot and will not be any compromise.
Our aim is to restore Britain to a position of Freedom, Security, Identity and Democracy.
And through the British Democrats this will be achieved and we will win.
