The unpopular London Mayor Sadiq Khan has this week extended the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) to every London borough. So now, if you drive a vehicle that doesn’t comply with Khan’s new rules on emissions, it will cost you £12.50 per day to drive in London. This is going to hit businesses and workers hard as they struggle to make ends meet during these difficult economic times. The ULEZ should be renamed Khan’s Additional Road Tax!
According to Sadiq Khan, old diesel and non-ULEZ compliant cars are causing such bad pollution in London each year that literally thousands of people are dying! However, if you give him £12.50 each time you drive into London, the dying people don’t matter!
Expansion of ULEZ is a tax on the elderly, the disabled, low-income families, and young drivers who can’t afford expensive cars. People are struggling with the cost of living, so ULEZ will make their lives worse.
The London Mayor’s office paid £800,000 to Imperial College’s Environmental Research Group to write a report stating that ULEZ expansion would bring immense health benefits to Londoners.
Sadiq Khan keeps saying that scientific research ‘proves’ that ULEZ will save lives. However, according to experts and academics from many prestigious universities, Imperial College has a track record of using seriously defective data modelling and making wild predictions of catastrophic death tolls.
During the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic of 2001, Imperial College persuaded the government to carry out the needless slaughter of ten million animals.
In 2005, the Imperial College team estimated that globally, 200 million people could die from bird flu. In 2021, the total death toll from bird flu was just 456.
In 2009, the team claimed that swine flu would kill 65,000 in the UK. The actual death toll was 500.
One well-respected academic wrote about Imperial College: “[Their] exaggerated forecasts may well constitute one of the greatest failures in modern history”.
Many people don’t know that Khan is part of a globalist cabal who are hell-bent on taxing us into submission, and they’re using climate change as the reason to hit us with these new taxes.
Khan is not just the Mayor of London but also the Chair of an organisation called C40. C40 is a global network of nearly 100 mayors of the world’s cities.
Khan became C40 Chair in December 2021. During his speech at COP26, he told delegates: “Our cities can harness the ingenuity of the human spirit to help conquer the threat of global warming. In doing so, we’ll be able to fashion a new world after the pandemic that has guiding principles of equality, fairness, and climate justice.”
We would like to ask Mr Kahn exactly what he means when he says, “we’ll be able to fashion a new world”.
Khan was one of the first leaders in the world to declare a climate emergency!
Another former Chair of C40 was none other than former London Mayor, Red Ken Livingstone, who held the C40 position from 2005 – 2008.
